These Students Slay the Dress Code
At school, many students can take for granted how liberating it is to be in an environment that welcomes them for precisely who they are and encourages who they may hope to become. Here at Citrus, students are free to express themselves in an inclusive space that nourishes individualistic expression.
Fashion can reflect many different aspects of a person like their culture, social status, values or beliefs. But, everyday style is what makes a person feel comfortable and confident enough to walk out the door and tackle a new day. The specifics of an outfit are unique to the individual, but have become an essential part of their daily routine.
For some, clothing is an armor that externally represents who they are, or even a physical extension of their heart and soul. Through these photos, students show what they are wearing on a typical day in their lives at school. Students from Citrus were stopped while going through their daily routine on campus and asked if a picture could be taken of their outfit; these individuals posed for the camera and proudly represented themselves through the fabric they adorned.
Diversity and acceptance has never looked quite this good.
