Gold Mine Of Nominees: 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards
The first awards show to air in the new year will be the 74th Annual Golden Globes.
The Golden Globes is one of the few awards shows that recognizes talents and achievements in both the film and television industries. The show is put on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and will air internationally to over 236 countries and territories. The HFPA is a non-profit organization of international journalists who cover the entertainment industry.
With the Golden Globes occurring so early in the awards season, many look to it as a precursor to what films, and which actors, will be nominated for Academy Awards [also known as the Oscars] later in the season.
This year, Jimmy Fallon will be hosting the event which will air live at 5 p.m. PST, Sunday, January 8, on NBC.
We’ve spotlighted six out of the 25 categories that will be shown that night.
Let us know who you’re rooting for and if you think that any of these film nominees will be nominated for an Oscar. Twitter: @_LogosMagazine
